Status Codes

HTTP status codes tell you what happened to your request. 200 means success. 404 means not found. 500 means server error. 401 means unauthorized. Knowing these saves hours of debugging.

# Common HTTP status codes:

200 OK           - Success
201 Created      - Resource created
400 Bad Request  - Client sent invalid data
401 Unauthorized - Need to log in
403 Forbidden    - Not allowed
404 Not Found    - Resource does not exist
500 Server Error - Something broke on the server
